RA/OR 281 - SCENES FROM THE GOLDMINE WITH CAMERON DYE
Actor and musician Cameron Dye joins BJ to discuss his career in film and music, the main focus being the 1987 film Scenes from the Goldmine and the awesome soundtrack that never was. You can watch the film here.
I'm about to listen to the podcast... I had waited until I watched the film ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEDwBg1cXzY ). My initial thoughts are that cheesy dialogue\plot, and good songs! Underrated band performances too (usually actors can't seem to ACT like they are playing real instruments but basically pull it off in this movie). My favorite line in the movies is "HEY! My favorite white chick!!" (about 51:57 into movie at party scene).
This film will definitely go into my favorite fake band music movie list along with "Losers Take All", "That Thing You Do", and "A Mighty Wind"
