BJ presents an overview of the lamentably short career of one of his favorite unsung rock bands of the seventies, a terrific band called Artful Dodger.
Discography:
Artful Dodger (1975)
Honor Among Thieves (1976)
Babes On Broadway (1977)
Rave On (1980)
Great Show! I Love this band and it is a shame that they never became big because they had great songs! You are on the money with your assessment of RAVE ON . That record should have been huge.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 16, I got a fake I.D. and went to my first rock club to see this band at the Agora Ballroom. Even though they had the same manager and producer as Aerosmith, they never made it big outside of Cleveland, OH (where I'm from). They seemed to have everything going for them but never quite caught on.
ReplyDeleteThanks BJ for taking the time to do this episode. It filled in the blanks for me. I feel like I now know a lot more about the music and the band. Please do more shows like this!
